Kit to Quilt 2026: How to Join In

There's a particular joy in watching a pile of fabric turn into a quilt, one block at a time. This fall, I'd love to watch it happen with you. Kit to Quilt 2026 is a season-long stitch-along with a weekly giveaway, running from now through the end of December. Whether you're cutting your first fabric or sewing on the binding, share your progress, and you could win something lovely.

Everyone is welcome. No purchase is necessary.

How to Enter

1. Make something. Work on any Westwood Acres quilt kit, or any pattern from our free patterns page: https://www.westwoodacresfabric.com/pages/free-patterns
2. Post it on Instagram. Share a photo or Reel of your progress. Anything counts, from a stack of freshly cut fabric to a finished quilt.
3. Tag us. Tag @a.crafty.fox in your post and include #KitToQuilt2026 in your caption.
4. Keep your account public. We can only find and verify entries from public accounts.

That's it. You're in.

What Counts as an Entry

• Feed posts and Reels count. Stories do not.
• You must include both the @a.crafty.fox tag and #KitToQuilt2026.
• Your post must be shared during the entry week.
• You may enter as many different projects as you like. Each project earns one entry per week, and you're welcome to share the same project's progress again in later weeks.

Entry Weeks and Drawings

Each entry week runs from Monday at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Posts shared from September 28, through Sunday, October 4, count toward the first drawing. Every Monday from October 5 through December 28, we gather the prior week's entries and draw one winner at random. The final entry week closes Sunday, December 27.

How Winners Are Chosen and Announced

Winners are drawn at random from all eligible entries for that week. Each Monday, the winner's Instagram handle is announced in our newsletter. Not on our email list?  Join below and make sure you don't miss anything.

Claiming Your Prize

Reply to the winner announcement email (Instagram DM will NOT work) within 5 days of the announcement, with your name and shipping address. If we haven't heard from you by then, the prize is forfeited and we'll draw a new winner. Canadian winners must also correctly answer a simple skill-testing question before receiving a prize.

Who Can Enter

• Anyone 18 or older, anywhere in the world where such promotions are permitted by law. We ship internationally.
• Each person can win one prize during the campaign.
• International winners are responsible for any customs, duties, or taxes on their prize.

Sharing Your Work

We love celebrating what you make. By entering, you give Westwood Acres permission to reshare your entry, with credit to your Instagram handle, on Instagram, in our newsletter, and on our website and blog. You keep all rights to your photos. If you'd rather we not share yours, just tell us and it won't affect your entry.

Common Questions

Do I have to buy a kit? No. Any free pattern works, and no purchase is necessary to enter or win.

Can I enter a quilt I started before today? Yes, as long as you post the progress photo during an entry week.

Can I enter a finished quilt? Absolutely, December will be for posting our finished projects.

What if my account is private? Please make it public so we can find your entry. We can't verify or even see entries from private accounts.

Can I enter more than once? Yes, with different projects. Each project earns one entry per week.

Can I win more than once? Each person can win one prize during the campaign.
